Instant Route

Privacy Policy

Instant Route creates running routes from a distance goal and supports route playback and run recording. This policy explains the information the app uses during the private beta.

Information the app uses

• Location: foreground location is used to place the route start, create routes, display your position, and support navigation.
• Route preferences: distance, route shape, terrain, and surface are sent with a route request.
• Local app data: saved routes, run history, and an active run are stored on your device.
• Support messages: if you contact me, I receive the information you choose to include.

Routing and maps

Creating or checking a route sends your current location and preferences to the Instant Route routing service. Android uses Google Maps through the Google Maps SDK for Android. iOS uses the platform map provider. These providers may process technical information under their own policies.

Storage and deletion

Saved routes and run history stay on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. Instant Route does not require an account during the beta, and I do not sell personal information.

Children

Instant Route is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
